- Creation of new layers (types) of atomic objects on the map, updating and adding new textual information relevant to the objects on the map
- Saving of maps in files of type *.bmp and *.wmf
- Automatic loading of objects and their placement of the map based on geographic coordinates (street addresses or others)

City 2.7+ the development and instruments version, allows:
- All functionality of City 2.5+
- Creation of informational layers of different types of objects: atomic, linear and complex
- Fragmentation of databases by different criteria and duplication of relational information of the new graphical layers
- Analysis of objects and their custom coloring
- Printing in custom format (Presentation like printing)
Additional capabilities of City 2.5+ and City 2.7+ Linker: If there exists an address space, which may be named streets and building numbers (for objects located in a city), or names of cities and counties (for less precise objects) the Linker will automate an object`s address translation and it`s placement on the map.
Route planner: This feature automatically finds a route through the streets of the city between objects on the map selected by the user. A route can be selected by one of three criteria: sequentially, finding the next closest object or in the most optimal sequence.
