Real-estate Management System (RMS) is the software for effective management of real-estate property using a map-like interface.

The system visually combines graphical layout (map) of the building or property with the data about each object on the map. First an engineering plan of the building is digitized to create an electronic map of the property. Then the information of interest is overlaid on top of the main plan. Such information can be in a graphical and alpha numeric form.

Graphical information usually includes things statically positioned on the property, such as:

  • Water pipes, valves and connection points
  • HVAC equipment, air ducts and sensors
  • LAN and Phone lines with connection points
  • Power supply lines

Besides its main parameters, other alpha numeric information may be associated with an object on the map, such as:

  • Documents and operation manuals in HLP (hypertext) format
  • Technical drawings and schemas in WMF (Windows Metafile) format
  • Pictures or other graphical information in BMP format
  • Any relational data that may be associated with this object
  • Textual information editable by the user

The following logical functionality is readily available in the RMS:

  • View and edit the floor plan based maps of objects on the property
  • Create new types of objects, position new objects on the map
  • View and edit graphical and alpha numeric information related to an object on the map
  • Select an object in the Database and show it's location on the property's map
  • Select groups of objects of interest on the map and perform custom views or calculations
  • Enable or disable the viewing of the objects on the map by the type of the object
  • Print the map of the property with the information you need on it - enabling only the types of objects you are interested in

Management of the placement of communication networks and devices:

  • Retrieve information on the types and positions of LAN and phone network outlets
  • Find the item of the network on the map of the property given it identification number

Management of the placement of the workforce:

  • Manage the relocation of the workforce, placement of the workspaces, calculation of the number of people per square foot of usable space
  • Compile lists of staff effected by the move or change in the floor plan
  • Design layouts and perform calculations for the most effective use of the property

Management of the placement of the assets

  • Find, view and edit information of an asset on the property
  • Document the move of assets between the physical locations on the property and between individual users
  • Generate reports on the use of assets and their parameters
